The University Library conducted its Library Orientation Program from September 9–11, 2026, at the University Library, 3rd Floor, LRC Building, to welcome and familiarize newly enrolled students with the Library’s resources, services, facilities, and policies. The program was attended by freshmen and transferee students as part of their introduction to the academic resources and support services available to them.

The orientation aimed to provide students with essential information on how to effectively use the Library and its resources throughout their academic journey. Participants were introduced to the different library services, available print and electronic resources, facilities, and guidelines designed to

support their learning, research, and academic needs.

During the sessions, students were guided on the proper use of library facilities and resources, including the procedures for borrowing and returning materials,

accessing electronic resources, and seeking assistance from library personnel. The orientation also highlighted the importance of responsible and respectful use of library facilities and resources to ensure a conducive environment for learning and study.

The program served as an opportunity for freshmen and transferee students to become more familiar with the Library as an essential partner in their academic experience. Through the orientation, students gained a better understanding of how the Library can support them

in locating reliable information, conducting research, completing academic requirements, and developing effective information-seeking skills.

The Library Orientation Program reflects the University Library’s commitment to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make meaningful use of its resources and services. By introducing students to the Library at the beginning of their academic journey, the program encourages them to become confident, responsible, and independent users of information.

The University Library welcomes all freshmen and transferee students and looks forward to supporting them throughout their academic journey through accessible resources, responsive services, and a learning environment that fosters academic excellence, research, and lifelong learning.
